The 17th National Certification Training session is open for registration for those who are interested in becoming Certified Facilitators in the Racial Sobriety approach. Certified Facilitators are able to teach the approach, present workshops, design program formats for persons and groups and receive a license to use the materials and processes of the Institute. They are also listed on the webpage of Certified Facilitators.
The 30 hour training program features the following experiences and exercises:
◘ Educational overview of the elements of the Racial Sobriety approach
◘ Participation in an Introduction to Racial Sobriety Work
◘ Participants rehearse presenting the workshop in teams
◘ How to design presentations and workshops
◘ How to facilitate/mentor Personal Racial Sobriety
◘ Consultation process for Race Relations Working Groups
◘ Facilitating Executive Training Formats
◘ Focal Support Group Protocols for an in-depth experience of Racial Sobriety
The cost for the three day training is $400.00. This fee covers books, certain meals and materials for presenting the program to various audiences. The training requires the completion of a pre-training assignment. Due to the reading that is necessary for this training, the deadline for registration is November 4, 2011.
