Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety

Matthew 10:37-42

It is all about God in this gospel of Jesus. The focus of our lives is about seeing Jesus and his work as the ultimate direction for the compass of our complicated lives. All relationships are secondary to our relationship with God. And all consequences are secondary to our relationship with God. The temporary rewards are not the last rewards because all of our relationships are temporary. And all of the rewards that come from our temporary relationship are also temporary. It is in the eternal relationship with God that earn for our efforts the eternal rewards. As we make sacrifices for unity in the human family, we answer the prayer of Jesus “that they all may be one.” And we will be rewarded, “Amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.” We have God’s word on it.
