Matthew 11:25-30

Jesus is the compassionate one. The “learned” and the “clever” do not possess the truth that comes from the compassion of God for the burden and the weary. The compassion of Jesus requires a capacity to follow Him in love. Our discipleship is the yoke over our minds and hearts. The burden which is “light” is bringing about the kingdom God in our lives and our affairs. We do not carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, because our kingdom vision reveals, as it did for Jesus, that God is in charge.
