Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety
Matthew 13:1-23 or 13:1-9
The gospel of the various soils in which the seed falls helps us to understand why some people have a capacity to do the work of recovery from racial dysfunction and others do not experience success. Each one of us find ourselves in various social, psychological and emotional environments that nurture or damage our sober self. Due to the various communities of origins and the environment that people find themselves in, there are many that will hear the call to recovery but not understand. They see the pain of their dysfunction but do not see themselves as the source. For those who have been blessed with the capacity to hear, see and understand, there is the obligation to make the changes that will share the “hundredfold” graces with others.
