Jesus is the revealing teacher who lays bare, “what was hidden from the foundation of the world.” He shares in depth with his disciples that they are in the world with the disciples of the devil. The separation will come at the end time. We have to persevere with the workers of evil as we work for good. But in the teaching of the mustard seed we are encouraged in the knowledge that a small seed can become a mighty structure able to support life around it. Our small efforts in the face of evil make a difference, but God will make the final difference in the harvest of the just.
