Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety
Matthew 13:44-52 or 13:44-46
The pearl of great price is a well known parable. The discovery of something of great value becomes obsessive until it is possessed. Many people lose everything in pursuit of their obsession or their addiction. We are challenged by Jesus to see in our commitment to the kingdom as something with which to be obsessed. Is our racial sobriety seen as such a value that we find it a constant focus to the extent of making sacrifices to maintain it? Are we so addicted to the grace of Jesus that we cannot live without him?
