Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety

John 1:29-34

The Spirit descending and remaining with Jesus was John the Baptist’s sign of the Lamb of God who would baptized with the Holy Spirit. In a movement that uplifts the human family, there are many roles. The gifts of leadership are exercised at different times. John the Baptist was to prepare the way for Jesus. In our organizations do we appreciate the limitations of leadership, and see these as a time for appreciating the gifts of others? In the Old Testament, Moses led the people out of Egypt, but it was Joshua who lead them into the Promised Land. Good leaders prepare the way for the next leader to take the movement where the Spirit will lead us. We are to be grateful for the leaders we have and trust in the providence of God that he will provide others to come forth from our midst.
