Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety
Matthew 1:18-24
Joseph is called to be of courage as he faces a situation that was beyond his understanding. Understanding racial incidents in our lives and the life of our communities require many gifts of insight, self reflection and counsel. As we seek to be men and women of righteousness, we are called to wait upon the Lord to make his will and ways clear to us in rational thoughts and revealed in dreams. Like Joseph, we know that there is an answer somewhere, and so we pray to God for help so as to do no harm, seeking the good for all involved.
