“…THAT THEY ALL MAY BE ONE...” John 17:11
Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety
John 1-: 1-10
The most revered verse of the gospel is John 10:10, “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” The will of God for everyone is prosperity, not survival. The Christian perspective on social inequities is to abhor poverty, ignorance and sickness because they go against the revealed will of God in Jesus Christ. Efforts to bring material security, education and care for the afflicted is a work of mercy not merely social work. It is not a social gospel; it is the pinnacle of the gospel as revealed in the purpose of Jesus’ teaching and ministry. |
