The belief in Jesus as the Son of the Father and the Holy Spirit was manifest in his ministry is the core of our salvation. In the beginning of the ministry of Jesus when he was baptized by John, the Father acknowledges him as his son and John knows that he is the one by whom the Holy Spirit descended upon him in the form of a dove. The ministry of God is one. In Jesus’ farewell to his disciples he tells them that he is returning to the Father, but he will send the Holy Spirit so that they will not be orphaned. The salvation we find in Christ is from the collaboration of God in the world. It is reason to sing, “Holy, holy, holy, God in three persons Blessed Trinity.”
