The entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem was triumphant. He was honored as a prophet. John the Baptist was the first prophet in four hundred years. But to see John one had to go to the desert. Jesus came into the city of Jerusalem and received a prophet’s reception, which was remarkable because people who had not seen a prophet for centuries. Even today people rejoice at seeing a person who is dedicated to a great cause. The are the focus of rally, demonstrations and protests. It is in our human nature to look for a great leader to follow, to honor, and to give purpose to our lives. Given that need, who is your leader today; Jesus and who else?
