Sectarian interest are everywhere. Jesus says that if people are healing in his name, they are in solidarity with him. If only we could embrace this attitude with those who engage the issues of race and ethnic relations. Often there is a struggle between leaders who could bring people together, but due to a difference in approach, they keep people apart! How sad. Whether our approach takes the form of integration, diversity, multiculturalism, ethnocentrism, or antiracism; we are called to see as Jesus notes, “For whoever is not against us is for us.”
