John 15:9-17
Could the mind of Jesus be any clearer? Witnesses to our faith is in our love – nothing more, nothing less. What we often overlook is that we were chosen to be the object of Christ’s love. He loves us before we love him. Jesus sees us through the eyes of love and gives us access to everything including knowing the mind of his Father. In his love he abandons the boundaries of the divine superiority and calls us friends. Anything less would lessen his love. Love means bringing those we love into our lives and our delights. As Jesus extends the love of the Trinity to us, let us stretch our loves to extend it to our brothers and sisters outside our circle. The extending love we express will allow us to experience the true meaning of the Jesus Commandments : “ love one another as I love you.”
