Living the Prayer of Jesus through Racial Sobriety

Trinity Sunday

Matthew 28:16-20

Just as Moses called the mixed multitude of Chosen people in the desert experience of the Exodus to receive the 10 Commandments, Jesus calls the new chosen to his mountain in Galilee. Jesus charges his disciples with the new commandment to go and bring the world into the Body of Christ by the power of preaching and baptism that make them heirs to his promised of eternal life. Matthew frames his gospel in terms of the global impact of Jesus in the world. Thus we have the desire of Jesus to bring to the world, not the Jewish world or the Christian world, but all the world the membership into new relationship all believers would have with God the Father. The life of the Trinity is not for believers, it is for everyone. Our commandment of the Great Commission is that we see the gift of faith shared with a worldview that everyone is my brother or sister.
